Sept 6th – For your snacks today, choose whole foods rather than processed ones.

It’s that late afternoon sluggish time and you have an urge to grab a bag of chips or cookies… Instead, today, grab for an apple or other non-processed or minimally processed food item.  While the chips and cookies taste good going down, you’ll probably feel better an hour later with your wholesome choice ;).

Some yummy options…

  • Fruits – apple, peach, nectarine, pear, orange/tangerine, watermelon, grapes, strawberries, black or blueberries, raspberries
  • Carrots and hummus
  • celery and cream cheese
  • Edamame
  • Almonds or other nuts
  • Low-fat cheese stick
  • Cucumbers with yogurt dip
  • Popcorn with small dash of salt
